This June 25 is the annual Dragon Boat Festival. There are some information related to this Dragon Boat Festival that deserve your attention.
1. Transportation: Freeway is not free
According to the "Implementation Plan for the Exemption of Toll Fees for Small Passenger Cars in Major Holidays", the time range for toll-free travel on freeway is the 4 statutory holidays - Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, and National Day, as well as the consecutive holidays linked with the above-mentioned statutory holidays determined on the documents issued by General Office of the State Council in that year.
Therefore, the freeway is not free during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
2. Some Wenzhou counties (cities, districts) temporarily suspend folk dragon boat celebrating activities this year
This year's Dragon Boat Festival coincides with the important period of the ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, it also overlaps the critical period that the vast majority of high-grade students are tensely doing their intensive class-reviews to brace for the forthcoming National College Entrance Examination & Senior High School Entrance Examination. In order to better prevent the people gathering together, and effectively protect the lives and health of the people, continuing the pandemic prevention and control, the Wenzhou Municipal Leading Group for COVID-19 Prevention and Control Work studied and decided that Lucheng District, Longwan District , Ouhai District and Longgang City suspend the folk dragon boat celebrating activities during this Dragon Boat Festival, including the 30 days suspension of the dragon boat race in Lucheng District, Ouhai District (Ouhai suspension has started from June 11, Lucheng suspension from June 12). Depending on the situation after the end of the suspension period, they will be conditionally and orderly allowed to reopen.
Ruian City and Pingyang County also strictly forbid any organization or individual to organize or hold folk dragon boat celebrating activities for any reason. Any means as performing dragon boat drums, building dragon boats, repairing dragon boats, borrowing dragon boats, renting dragon boats, buying dragon boats or organizing dragon boat race not allowed.
