On May 27, Wenzhou Overseas Media Center and College of International Education, Wenzhou University jointly invited 25 international friends who work and live in Wenzhou, and international students from many Asian countries, to visit Wenzhou Sports Center and have an experience of being Asian Games journalists. Some international friends interviewed the football players in English.

It is reported that on that day, Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium held the "ZSL Invitational Tournament”. The tournament was strictly executed in accordance with the standards of the Asian Games. From venues, ticketing, logistics, to security, transportation, medical aspects, all processes were tested in a practical manner. The organizers invited international friends to experience the whole process. The event has achieved good results and gained valuable experience.

After the football match, international friends interviewed the players in the mixed interview area. Jan, a Mozambican student from Wenzhou University, said, "I love football very much, and I’m very happy to be invited to watch this wonderful football match. And I didn't expect to have the opportunity to interview the players face-to-face, I’m really excited, it’s an amazing experience!"

It is understood that Wenzhou Sports Center, which was built in 1997, has a unique position in the hearts of the general public in Wenzhou precisely because of football. On March 12, 1998, 14,000 fans gathered at the Wenzhou Sports Center Stadium for the Super Cup match “ Beijing Guo’an VS Dalian Wanda”, which featured a glittering array of stars and famous players. Now, in order to successfully hold the football match of this Asian Game, Wenzhou Sports Center has undergone an all-round transformation and upgrading on stadium's facilities and equipment, ancillary landscape, façade and lighting. The newly unveiled lawn, lighting, LED display screens and audio equipment, all demonstrate Wenzhou people’s passion for the football.
