Lucheng District is the downtown area of Wenzhou, and also a key hometown of overseas Chinese. It has about 88,700 overseas Chinese and 52,000 returned overseas Chinese distributed in 133 countries and regions. For celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and promoting Lucheng’s "Five Major City Brands", Lucheng District  Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese launched a series of bilingual video programs themed with "The Developments of Lucheng in Overseas Chinese's Eyes", showing the great achievements Lucheng has gained in economic, daily life, and cultural constructions through the perspectives of "Overseas Chinese". The videos are broadcast to the whole world through the bilingual media cluster of Wenzhou Overseas Media Center (Home of Overseas Cultural Exchange Officers). The title of this episode is "Nightlife in Lucheng".

Lucheng in Wenzhou is such a place full of surprises. If the Lucheng in the daytime would remind people of an ancient city with endless literary charms and picturesque landscapes, then what impresses you most about Lucheng in the nighttime is its complete prosperity. The vibrant urban street life makes the city dynamic and energetic.

In this video, Ye Jiwei, who returns from Brazil, and Sun Zhengxiao, who returns from the UAE,  are invited by us to experience the prosperous and colorful nightlife in Lucheng. Ye jiwei is the general manager of Wenzhou De Er Le Catering Co., Ltd., and vice president of the Youth Committee of Lucheng District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. And Sun Zhengxiao is the founder of brand “Sun Pan”and vice president of Youth Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

Xiao Bafang is located on Xueyuan Middle Road, downtown area of Wenzhou. Possessing the natural geographical advantage of Wenrui Canal, Xiao Bafang preserves the original architectural style of the old town and forms a new model of ecological neighborhood. In the nighttime, Xiao Bafang is a new trendy landmark for the young people in Wenzhou. Ye Jiwei is the founder of "Island Riverside" in Xiao Bafang. During the video-filming, he introduced to Sun Zhengxiao the story of Xiao Bafang's transformation from an old residential area into a cultural and creative district.
