Qingnian Lane, formerly known as Qingshan Lane, starts in the east at Xinhe Street, heads towards the west, and goes south to Dingziqiao Lane, then turns north by taking a branch-off lane to Yingdaoguan Lane. It got its name after Cai Youxue, the minister of military of the Southern Song Dynasty (A.D.1127-1279), who lived here and left his anecdotes.

There are a number of activity venues in this block such as a community folk arts institute, poetry institute, calligraphy & painting galley, the Wenzhou's only chanting team for ancient poetry and the Lucheng's first community poetry publication "Qingnian Poems Collection" here. Taking the Qingnian Lane as an axis, the surrounding lanes and alleys constitute a distinct scenic route made up of the calligraphy & painting galley, photography galley and folk-customs galley.
