“Foreigner’s Spotlight” we deliberately invited three foreigners from different countries to have a Chinese snack experience.

Wenzhou duck tongue, crispy instant noodles, spicy gluten, whistle candy, soda... Millennials in Wenzhou favored these snacks when they were children. However, have you ever imagined what chemistry would take place when foreigners sat together and ate these snacks? In This episode of “Foreigner’s Spotlight” we deliberately invited three foreigners from different countries to have a Chinese snack experience.

The topic of this episode stemmed from a question asked by a foreign friend. “Most of the children's snacks in my country are sweet.” Quoted as he saying, ”What snacks do Wenzhou children usually eat.” Therefore, we selected several classic snacks for foreign friends to taste in this episode. The guests who participated in the filming were Emily from South Korea, Spenser Rose from the United States and Tatenda Ashley from Zimbabwe.

After eating Wenzhou duck tongue, Emily said if she had not been told, she couldn't have recognized it was duck’s tongue. In fact, she said the taste was so good! Zhonghua Dan, a kind of plum candied snack, which made Spenser and Tatenda guess its flavor when they saw it, took them back to their childhood. In addition to these snacks, they also tasted soda, whistle candy and so on. Three guests said that they felt very excited to try these snacks, many of which they have never seen before.

No matter where you are from, all sorts of childhood snacks are the best memories within everyone's heart.
