The departure tax refund station at Wenzhou Airport in Zhejiang Province was officially put into use on the 10th, which will further promote the release of the potential of inbound tourism consumption.
With the continuous optimization of China's visa-free transit policy, an increasing number of foreign friends are choosing China as a "impromptu" travel destination. The tourism market in Zhejiang has also ushered in new development opportunities.
Li Guiyang, the general manager of the Cooperation & Expansion Department of Ctrip Group in Zhejiang Province and vice president of the Zhejiang Provincial Tourist Scenic Area Association, introduced: "The inbound business travelers and leisure tourists together form the main force of inbound tourists in Zhejiang, bringing new vitality to the local tourism economy."

In the past, for personal goods purchased by overseas tourists at tax refund stores in Wenzhou that met the tax refund conditions, they had to apply for tax refunds at departure ports such as Hangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai. Nowadays, the opening of the departure tax refund station at Wenzhou Airport Port has established a full-chain closed-loop service from "in-store shopping" to "on-site tax refund" and then to "customs verification", covering the needs of passengers from nearby regions such as southern Zhejiang and northern Fujian handling departure tax refunds.
In addition, Zhejiang has recently released the "Service Guide for Facilitating the Inbound Tourism", focusing on the entire journey of international tourists from "arrival" to "departure", and providing comfortable and convenient travel experiences for international tourists in 8 aspects including cross-border payment.
