Dragon boat racing has been a very classic traditional Chinese cultural event, and the 19th Asian Games Dragon Boat Race will be held at the Wenzhou Dragon Boat Sports Centre this year. 

Dragon boat, which is an important part of Wenzhou culture, has been emblematic of Wenzhou spirit in the new era. It has attracted many foreigners to participate in, such as Iurri, a foreign of Wenzhou Overseas Media Centre (Hai’Ou Community), once shooting a video about paddling a dragon boat. In today’s video, we will tell you the story of Denise, an American professor, beating the drum in a dragon boat.

Denise, who is from Massachusetts, USA, is currently the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts in Wenzhou Kean University. With the vision of bringing more children to a more open world, Denise came to Wenzhou in March 2022. She tasted Wenzhou's specialties, explored its picturesque landscape and also experienced traditional Chinese intangible culture.
