On the other hand, some people believe that the outbreak is now under effective control. So it’s unnecessary to wear masks all the time.
When can people of the whole country take off the masks?
Zhong Nanshan made it clear in an interview recently: It is still not the time to take off our masks!
Zhong Nanshan pointed out that the current situations at home and abroad are totally different. China has now entered the second stage due to the very decisive measures implemented by our governments at all levels, while other major countries are still in the first stage of the outbreak. Wearing masks is still a very important means of self-protection, and it is too early for proposing not to wear masks. However, people in areas where the outbreak is not serious or empty places are allowed to take off masks.
Luan Rongsheng, professor of epidemiology at the Huaxi School of Public Health, Sichuan University and deputy chief of Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, said that people must wear masks under the following 3 circumstances:
First, people in the confined spaces, such as subways, trains, etc. must wear masks.
Second, people in the crowded areas, such as hospitals, schools and other places must wear masks.
Third, people who are in close contact with others for a long time must wear masks.
At present, most areas of China are low-risk areas, but it does not mean that there is no risk. Therefore, the public still need to pay attention to self-protection and take effective measures for preventing external input and internal rebound.
